You will gain experience in expressing your opinions orally in English concerning socially relevant topics. You will have the opportunity to discuss with your classmates (and me) issues such as colonialism and Third World development, women's rights, children's rights, war and peace, and world hunger. You will greatly expand your English vocabulary and improve your critical thinking skills.
Grades will be based on class attendance, active participation in class discussions, and weekly homework assignments.
