This discussion-oriented course is designed so that students can gain more ability to express their ideas or opinions orally in English. Students are encouraged to actively participate in class discussion. We will read various materials that deal with social, political, environmental issues such as women's issues, racism, globalization, and so on for discussion. Students are expected to read a weekly assignment and summarize their questions or opinions before the class so that we can exchange our ideas or opinions in the class.
