授業の概要

There are differences between formal and informal English, and differences between Japanese and English writing. By familiarizing students with such differences, this course will help students learn how to construct a good paragraph and how to approach short essays. Students will practice writing to communicate ideas in simple, natural English in a paragraph / paragraphs. Students will be expected to write a paragraph each week.
この授業では、英文パラグラフを構成する仕方や短いエッセーの取り組み方を学ぶ。日英の表現形式や表現の違いに慣れる。自分の考えを簡潔で自然な英語でパラグラフにまとめるライティング演習を行う。毎週、まとまりのある英文（パラグラフ）を書くことが課せられる。

1.To be able to write a paragraph and short essay in English.
英語でパラグラフや短いエッセーを書くことができる。
2.To be able to write with more speed and fluency.
英文がより速く、自然に書けるようになる。
3.To be able to employ a range of written grammar.
