Course description
Unlike products with material form, service is defined by its immateriality and changeability. These two characteristics of service have been treated as belonging to separate realms. However, limiting oneself to one or the other has become increasingly unfeasible in today’s world of evolving technology and diversified demand. In the future, increasing the value of products by adding quality of service will be crucial.
Accordingly, this service innovation course covers the generation of new services and servicification that comes with adding quality of service to products. With the aim of generating new or increasing existing value through new services and servicification, students will gain practical skills by deepening their understanding of the workings behind and methods of implementation of these concepts.
Students can expect this course to be an opportunity for them to practice the skills necessary for overcoming challenges in diverse environments by identifying problems and increasing the options for solving such issues through thought and action.
