Course content
Various engineering approaches are required to solve an environmental problems because of their complexity and diversity.
In this lecture, we focus on LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) which is one of the methods to clarify the complexity of environmental problems clearly based on system engineering. We learn the framework and methodology, and environmental policy making using LCA for decision making.
Classes will be conducted with concrete case exercises, and optimization simulation programming exercises for beginners should also be included in the lecture.
Purpose of class
We focus on LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) which is one of the methods to clarify the complexity of environmental problems clearly based on system engineering. We learn the framework and methodology, and environmental policy making using LCA for decision making.
Goals and objectives
  1. Students can understand how systematic methods contribute to environmental impact assessment.
  2. Students can understand the correct understanding and techniques concerning environmental impact assessment methods.
  3. Students can understand the correct understanding and techniques on effective methods for decision making.
