Course content
In this course, we study the foundations of quantum mechanics and quantum information science.

Quantum information science is a new information science based on quantum mechanics, which is the basic law of physics for microscopic world.
By using quantum properties, we can realize remarkable information processings such as quantum computer, quantum cryptography, and quantum teleportation.

For the lecture, no preliminary knowledge is required on quantum mechanics.
Purpose of class
In quantum mechanics, we use new way of thinking, concepts and decriptions of physics different from those used in classical physics.
One of the main purposes of this course is to study them as well as the applications of quantum information science, so that students can easily tackle the paradigm shift of information technology using quantum mechanics.
