Regional and Social Environmental Design
The aim of this course is to learn methods to solve modern urban issues by focusing on the regional areas divided by various
factors: climate, history, culture, economy, organization, politics, instead of political border.
The way of presentation and discussion will be announced at the class, which is designed by the numbers of students.
Mutual relationships between space and social organizations in regional areas will be clarified, and the methods for urban
design in the level of neighborhood will be discussed by students presentation.
- Developing skills to analyze and evaluate real issues cities are facing today.
- Developing comprehensive knowledge related to city and region to understand balance between its related disciplines.
- Developing skills to design space and social environment by using comprehensive knowledge of city planning and related disciplines.

Students will be evaluated comprehensively by report, presentation, and participation in class discussions.
Textbooks and reference materials
Textbook will not be used.
Reference literatures and any other materials will be introduced at the class.
Reviewing subject of city planning you learned at each school is suggested before taking this course.
