Course content
It is natural to design something using a 3D-CAD as well as to conduct structural analyses using a FEM software for mechanical engineers. However, It's meaningless unless you evaluate the FEM result correctly. Therefore, you need to learn how to evaluate the result correctly.
The aim of this lecture is to study continuum mechanics. First, you study about the state of multi-stress through to the Cauchy stress and stress coordinate transform. And then, you understand stress invariants and von Mises equivalent stress. In addition, you also study about several strain definition.
