Special Lecture on the Control Systems of Cell Physiology

Course content
Cells perceive a variety of information from the environment and regulate the physiological functions using the acquired information. This regulatory system is associated with survival in unicellular organisms and with the expression of tissue functions in multicellular organisms. This lecture aims to facilitate the understanding of the mechanisms for obtaining environmental information, processing information in cells, and controlling the output (especially motility) using the processed information. Existing basic knowledge will be reviewed first, and significant papers on the specific fields will be discussed in detail. The principles of some experimental methods will also be covered.
