Course description
Under ever changing global circumstance, it is crucial to transform companies in accordance to the changes surrounding them. On the other hand, many companies fail to recognize the change outside, lose their competitiveness or market confidence. Why do companies take wrong action despite their hope to change? Why many Japanese companies seem not following the global change?
The course is about the basic steps of the change process and how to be a successful change leader.
Purpose of class
Students will understand the necessity of the change, analyze the obstacle and the way to overcome such obstacles.
By learning the cases and through discussion in the class, students are expected to become confident in leading the change in their organization.

  1. Students will build the knowledge about success and failure of various cases and be able to analyze and explain the reason.
  2. Students will understand the various types of leadership and become confident in his/her own leadership style.
  3. Students will be able to lead the change process in the organization.
