Human-Machine Interface/ Exercise 1
While there are some machines which function itself, many others are operated or handled by humans. Therefore, design parameters
of the mechanisms, motions and control of machines must be considered together with the function of humans.
From this perspective, the aim of this course is to investigate basic elements such as the characteristics of humans and machines,
the theoretical mechanism, the interfaces, the properties analysis and evaluation, and the ideal condition of machines from
examination of control action.
For an applied example, research will be conducted relating to a closed loop systems for a driver’s controlling, clarification
of perception of a driver, and safety of support system.
- To understand the characteristics of human and machine
- To understand the human machine interface
- To understand the analysis method and evaluation method for human machine system
Japanese(English accepted)
Students will carry out the presentation and the discussion for the issues of human machine system
Evaluation method and criteria
Students will be evaluated entirely (100%) on reports during the final week of the course.
