takahashi masanobu
Course content
Images are important information sources and are being utilized in various fields such as recognition, investigation, compression, and CG among others. In realizing image processing systems, in particular measurement and recognition systems, it will often be important to understand not only how to process images, but how to take images. By actually taking images with a camera and conducting measurement, practical knowledge will be acquired.
Purpose of class
Practical knowledge will be acquired concerning capturing images with a camera and measurement using captured images.
Goals and objectives
  1. Specs of a camera is understood.
  2. The principle and problems of measurement using images is understood.
  3. Practical knowledge is obtained by conducting measurement using images captured by a camera.
