Course content
The aim of this course will be the development of simple, high sensitivity, and fast analytical methods for environmental contaminants. In particular, analytical methods utilizing a chemical sensor will be developed. Through such research, students will learn how to conduct common analytical chemical research. As well, by presenting their research at domestic and international societies, students will develop their literature research abilities, foreign literature reading comprehension, and presentation skills. Students will also cultivate their English essay writing ability to a level acceptable by Western academic society journals.

Research attitude in the laboratory (10%), presentations and discussion at seminars (10%), mid-term reports (20%), one or more essays accepted by society journals (60%), for a total possible score of 100 points. A passing grade will require a total score of 60 points or more.
