Advanced Photochemistry

konishi toshifumi
Course content
In order to sufficiently control the product and yield of photochemical reactions, it is necessary to implement reaction design which considers reverse reactions and secondary reaction processes occurring subsequently. However, there are limitations to reaction design based on the free energy change (ΔG) of common reactions. Discussion will relate to the latest cases of research in molecular design manuals to solve these issues.
Purpose of class
The aim of this course is to provide the way of thinking of photochemistry to understand the behavior of supramolecular compounds. The course also provides a wide scope of the relationship between social problems and chemistry.
Goals and objectives
  1. To be able to discuss the chemical/physical properties of supramolecular compounds based on photochemistry.
