In recent years, there is a growing need for full-fledged natural language processing in various application fields. This lecture focuses on semantic understanding of natural language, and explores its theoretical models and applications to dialogue systems and linguistic information processing on the Web.

Students will be evaluated based on presentations at reading seminars and reports. Presentations at reading seminars 50%, reports 50% for a total possible score of 100. A comprehensive grade of 60% or higher will be required to pass.
