Course content
This lecture treats topics of bionic systems, such as brain-computer interface, to summarize how to measure signals from living bodies, how to process the signals, how to extract information from the signals, and how to control artificial systems based on the extracted information. The lecture also treats modeling of biological and physiological phenomena and construction of bionic systems.
Purpose of class
The purpose of this course is to learn elemental technologies to compose fusion systems of biological phenomena and artificial systems and their integration.
Goals and objectives
  1. Can investigate from the interdisciplinary point of view on fusion technologies of biological phenomena and artificial systems
  2. Can model and analyze biological phenomena about about fusion technologies of biological phenomena and artificial systems
  3. Can construct fusion systems of biological phenomena and artificial systems by selecting soft and hard components

Evaluation method and criteria
Reports and presentations will be evaluated.
60% of evaluation requires understanding basics of technologies, conducting paper survey and making presentation for realizing bionic systems by integration of elemental technologies.
