Research of Applied Design based on Material Strength

hashimura shinji
Course content
For professional mechanical engineers, high level knowledge of material strength is needed. In this course, lecture regard with metal fatigue and material strength is performed. Especially this lecture focuses on fatigue analysis methods for weld joint and fatigue analysis of parts subjected to multi-axial stress.
Purpose of class
The purpose is to understand safe design, fail-safe design and so on learning metal fatigue, multi-axial fatigue and fatigue at welding point.
Goals and objectives
  1. to be able to analyse causes of accident due to metal fatigue.
  2. to be able to analyse causes of accident due to metal fatigue at stress concentration portions.
  3. to be able to analyse causes of accident due to multi-axial fatigue.
