Advanced Fluid System Applications to the Environmental Engineering

suwa yoshihide
Course content
To achieve the practical use of natural energy such as powers of ocean waves, tidal flow and flow of rivers or drain waters, a drastic improvement of power generation system is necessary, and also the considerations on surrounding environments should be necessary.
In this class, actual examples of systems will be studied and the concrete method to improve these systems will be discussed.
To solve complicated problems, it is also very important to have a cooperative relationship with engineers in different fields. Through this class, thinking ability with crossing different fields will be acquired.
Purpose of class
Through the discussions on countermeasures for environmental problems and energy problems, the way of thinking is obtained acrossing wide field.
Goals and objectives
  1. Understanding the current situation and problems of energy and environment and can discuss about countermeasures.
  2. Not only improving power generation efficiency but also can consider environmental adaptation, symbiosis, etc.
  3. Based on discussions with engineers and researchers in other fields, acquire thinking abilities across fields.
Language
Japanese(English accepted)
