Information and Communication Systems/ Exercise 1
In this research activity, information and communication systems will be focused on to complete master course researches.
For example, mobile computing, mobile network, communication quality, ubiquitous computing, artificial intelligence, biomedical
informatics are major topics. Each student will learn how to find their research theme, how to extract the issues to be solved,
how to survey the related works, how to propose the solutions to the issues, how to evaluate the proposed solutions, how to
conclude the research and how to write the master thesis.
- To understand what the novelty on the research is and how effective the proposed solution is.
- To get the knowledge on the research and the computational skills to build the experimental environment for the evaluation.
- To complete the master thesis.
Japanese(English accepted)
Each student will report the research progress every week in the regular meeting. Besides that, at least 4 papers will be
submitted to conferences and be presented during the course.
Evaluation method and criteria
Presentation, discussion, research progress reports and conference paper submissions are the criteria of the grade.
Textbooks and reference materials
Major conference proceedings, journals and technical reports.
Basic knowledge of information and communication technologies is required.
