Advanced Lectures on Biomaterials
Various biomaterials are used in medical field. In this class, basic knowledge of metal, organic and inorganic materials will
be explained. Biological reaction in vivo and in vitro, drug delivery system, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine
are also introduced.
The purpose of this class is to understand the biomaterials, and to acquire knowledge for resolving the problems of current
biomaterials, developing the novel biomaterials and applying the artificial organ and tissue engineering.
- To be able to explain the major kinds of biomaterials.
- To be able to explain the properties of biomaterials.
- To be able to explain the biological reaction for biomaterials.
