Course description
We should look at the linkage between technology and society from the viewpoint of technology innovation impact and understand the influence that technological innovation in the 20th century. Recognizing the current situation of paradigm shift facing society at the beginning of the 21st century, we should consider innovation caused by technological innovation as change of intellect. In particular, I overview the various problems that society has today, and discuss the relationship between the intellectual revolution and innovation in the 21st century.
Purpose of class
We would study industrial change in the 18th and 19th centuries as the 1st industrial revolution, invention and development of computers as the 2nd industrial revolution and networking as the 3rd industrial revolution in addition to learning about the flow and succession of science and technology up to now, I would study the elements that promote the 4th industrial revolution.
Goals and objectives
  1. To consider the relationship between modern society and technology.
  2. To understand the relationship between environmental problem, resource problem and technology and considering technological innovation in order to solve those problems.
  3. To understand the management of technology (MOT) as one method for understanding the base consideration of the discovery and the origin of new technology with a wide range of academic fields (spectrum).
