Graduation Project
デザイン工学に関連する様々な分野についてテーマを設定し、それぞれの専門分野の指導教員のもとで1年間研究テーマに取り組む。3年次までに修得した共通基礎科目、共通専門科目、専門科目に関する知識を集結し、研究テーマの解決にあたることで、問題の解決能力を養い、設計・作品や論文のまとめ方を身につける。
- デザイン工学に関連する分野の課題を設定し、研究テーマを構想することができる。
- 研究遂行に必要な情報を収集・整理・分析し、研究テーマを立案することができる。
- 研究遂行にあたり、問題解決能力を発揮し、設計力、意匠力を用いて論文や設計・作品をまとめることができる。
- 論文や設計・作品の成果を説明し、討論に対応することができる。

Research on design of robotics based system
* Intelligent Space (iSpace) project
"Intelligent Space (iSpace)" is a space with multiple embedded and networked sensors and actuators. iSpace observes the environment
using the distributed sensors, extracts useful information from the obtained data and provides various services to users through
the actuators. We do research on fundamental functions of iSpace and their applications. iSpace should also have flexibility
and scalability so that we can easily change the configuration depending on the situation. We aim to develop technologies
for efficient implementation of iSpace system.
Examples of research topics include, but not limited to:
- Information acquisition achieved by mutual cooperation of distributed devices.
- Human interface for iSpace
- System integration using RT (Robot Technology) Middleware
* Application of RT to design field
Common functions of robots include observation, judgment, and actuation. These functions are also useful for design field
such as production of an interactive art work and service provision based on action history of users. We do research on applications
of RT to design field.
Examples of research topics include, but not limited to:
- Creation of media art using RT
- Proposal of a device to improve UX (User Experience)

Evaluation method and criteria
成績は、総合研究論文提出(50%)および最終発表会(50%)を経て、全教員にて審査する。総合得点率が60%以上を合格とする。
