Course description
"Material" is inevitably required for making machines. To appropriately choose and utilize materials, you will learn basic knowledge of materials and property of each material.
Purpose of class
The goals of this course are to acquire the knowledge on physical, chemical, crystallographical, and mechanical properties of materials, especially metals.
Goals and objectives
  1. 機械用の材料として金属を使用する際に考慮しなければならない機械的性質、物理的・化学的性質の理解ができる
  2. 機械材料の結晶構造とその表記方法、結晶欠陥、機械的性質とのつながりについて説明できる
  3. 金属材料の平衡状態図および熱処理について説明できる
  4. 材料強度、材料試験について説明できる
  5. 代表的な鉄鋼材料と、その熱処理について説明できる。

期末試験60%,レポート(各回の授業での小レポートを含む)40%の配分で評価し,100点満点で総合得点60点以上を合格とする。
期末試験において,教科書の練習問題の大半をおおむね解けるようになれば,60%以上。
