Course description
In recent years, high technology is applied to such as dyes, fibers and paper with a seemingly old-fashioned. Especially synthesized dyes are used not only coloring but also recording layer writable CD, fluorescent dye for EL display and laser materials etc. This lecture will focus on the structure and properties of functional organic materials expected to be used in various fields.
Purpose of class
To understand what is functional organic materials and relation between organic compounds and specific character of the materials.
Goals and objectives
  1. To understand what is functional organic materials and to be able to explain what is used in the products familiar with the public.
  2. To be able to understand synthetic dyes of functional organic materials.
  3. To be able to understand the relationship between the display and organic compounds.
