Course description
Chemical industries cover a broad range of medical, food, electronic, environmental, and IT industries as well as the production and distribution of chemical products. On “Introduction to Chemical Industries”, lecturers, invited from the companies which recruited students from the department of Applied chemistry (SIT) recently and/or gave employment offers, will give a talk about the practical business and trend in chemical industries.
In 2016, we are planning to invite the lecturers from the 12 companies as written below. Students have to submit a simulated job application after each class, which helps students to increase the incentive to work and to know their professional aptitude.
Purpose of class
Increase the incentive to work and know your professional aptitude by listening to a talk by the lecturer about the practical business and trend in chemical industries and by submitting simulated job applications.

  2. Study the role of chemical technologies in diversified buisiness strategy
  3. Consider aptitude of yourself and determine your candidates of industry and company

Evaluation method and criteria
Evaluate the submitted simulated job applications by all professors of the department of Applied Chemistry, a passing grade will require total score of 60 or more out of 100.

The lecturer may be changed due to unexpected reasons.
