Course description
This course is concurrently commenced for freshmen in the department of information and communications engineering to learn elementary knowledge about hardware respectively through “making things.” This course aims to offer the place of the companion-making to the freshmen who are not accustomed to new environment.
In this course, following the former course, “Basic Experiments on Information and Communication Engineering I”, students learn necessary knowledge about basic electronic parts by fabricating a basic electronic circuit board including an operational amplifier (OP amp). Students also learn how to use measuring instruments (oscilloscope, multi-meter, function generator) and power supplies through the measurements and functional checking of the parts and the fabricated circuit board.
Purpose of class
The main purpose of this class is acquiring knowledge about basic electronic parts including an operational amplifier, how to use measuring instruments.
Goals and objectives
  1. Acquire knowledge and skill to make electronic circuits including parts placement and electric wiring.
  2. Acquire knowledge about functions and handling of measuring instruments including an oscilloscope, a function generator (signal generators) and a power supply.
  3. Comprehension of an operational amplifier (amplification and operations)
Language
Japanese

Textbooks and reference materials
Texts (including report assignments) in each class will be uploaded on the web (*1) by the day before the class.
Students have to prepare (print (*2) and check in advance) and bring them class.
(*1) URL will be announced at the guidance. Note that the web server is only accessible from inside of SIT.
(*2) Please ask SIC (Scholarly Information Center) how to use printers from the PCs on the campus.
Monochrome print is enough (though the materials are colored).
Prerequisites
A scientific electronic calculator should be prepared. Calculator applications on the mobile phone cannot be used because the mobile phone is prohibited to use during the examination.
