Course description
Image processing is indispensable for various fields, including industry, natural science, entertainment, and so on. This lecture, Digital Media Processing 1, introduces basic image-processing techniques such as digital image acquisition, filtering, geometric transform and image segmentation. For each technique, the lecture provides interactive demonstrations with source codes (python and/or C++) to support your deep comprehension.
Purpose of class
To learn various basic algorithms for image processing.
Goals and objectives
  1. Introduction to digital image processing - Become to be able to explain techniques of image acquisition
  2. Image filtering - Become to be able to explain basic filters, such as tone curve, linear and non-linear filters.
  3. Geometric transformation – Become to be able to explain affine transform and interpolation.
  4. Become to be able to write python programs for image processing
Language
Japanese
