Course description
An instrumental analysis is a physical and/or chemical analysis by precise equipment using electronics technology. This course introduces the basic concepts of the instrumental analysis for electronics materials. Topics to be discussed include X-ray diffraction method (XRD), X-ray fluorescence method (XRF), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) and scanning probe microscopy (SPM).
Purpose of class
This course should provide the students with a basic understanding of the instrumental analysis for electronics materials.
