Course description
This course introduces protocol technology network and the Internet communication technology. Moreover, this course introduces to research trends in academic societies such as P2P network, Software Defined Networks, Sensor network.
Purpose of class
The aim of this course is to help students acquire an understanding of the basic technology of TCP/IP and the typical communication service.
Goals and objectives
  1. At the end of the course, participants are expected to understand the basic technology of each protocol.
  2. At the end of the course, participants are expected to understand Quality of Service control technology such as IP telephone.
  3. At the end of the course, participants are expected to consider the Service Oriented Network and Its possibility.

Evaluation method and criteria
Your final grade will be calculated according to the following process: the mid-term exam (40%), term-end exam (50%), and exercises report (10%).
The scoring guide: If you prepare a class, review the class content and the exercises, and answer the questions of the term-end exam and exercises reports by using knowledge appropriately, you can get more than 60 points.
