Graduation Thesis 1
Based on fundamental knowledge on communication engineering, students work on projects assigned by the professor. Students
are supposed to join the discussion in the laboratory, to work on the assigned projects, and to write and present his or her
graduation thesis.
To acquire the ability to apply the fundamental knowledge that students have learned for the first three grades.
- Acquire the ability to find out where the problems exist and to set the goal of his or her project.
- Acquire the ability to find how to solve the problems of his or her project.

Motto: Towards User-Friendly Information and Communication Environments
This laboratory’s research focuses on information and communication technologies realizing the ubiquitous computing environment
where information access is available anywhere and anytime without being aware of the existence of computers. Here, this is
referred to as “User-Friendly Information and Communication Environments” and the targeted information is multimedia content.
This concept will relieve the users of cumbersome computer operations and construct a highly satisfactory intelligent information
and communication system, which will accurately provide any necessary services when they are required. One of the goals of
this research is to build a context-aware system which obtains user’s biological and environmental information, predicts the
information and services that the user wants, and finally provides them.
