activities, in particular the activities of the brain areas associated with working memory and language processing (Focusing
on language learning and learning of elderly people).
2) To study mechanisms for enhancing better communication by examining the activation of the frontal lobe of the brain, and
to identify how alerting and decision making can affect the brain activation.
For 1) & 2), experiments by using Near-infrared spectroscopy will be performed, and obtained data from the experiments will
be analyzed. Students are expected to present the outcomes of their thesis research at an international conference/ a academic
