Course description
Ceramic materials have been widely used as a ceramic product than conventional.
However, as the center especially the electrical and electronics industry in the past ten years, rapid material development and innovative research and development is carried out, "functional ceramics material (new ceramics, fine ceramics)" is added many new features, their use and demand has attracted attention as a new material extending dramatically. This lecture is to introduce a new function and the structural characteristics of the ceramic material. In particular, this lecture is to clarify the position of the ceramic material in the differences and distal society of definition and conventional material of new ceramic materials (ceramic material). In addition, the type of material, to lecture the use and application surface in general in a variety of manufacturing methods, functional and structural characteristics (material properties) and the leading-edge industries.
Purpose of class
Which is a typical inorganic material "ceramics" is associated with a dramatic development of leading-edge industries and high-tech technology, it has become an indispensable material electronic materials, magnetic materials, in information (IT) society. Therefore, in this lecture, aiming to acquire a wide range of knowledge and learning in light of the sufficient academic background for the ceramic material having a wider range of uses, applications and it is expected to further development the future.
Goals and objectives
  1. Understand and learn the differences between conventional ceramic material and new ceramic material.
  2. Understand and learn the preparation of new ceramics material (in particular, sintering method)
  3. Understand and learn the characteristics of the fine structure of a new ceramic material.
  4. Understand and learn a classification that depends on the difference in the chemical bonding of the new ceramic material.
  5. Understand and acquire advanced functional characteristics and application fields of new ceramics materials.
