Course description
This course is designed to focus on learning the basis of German. The textbook contains short dialogue, partner-practice, grammatical exercise, listening and so on. In the class these will be combined and social or cultural topics of the German-speaking countries occasionally referred.
Purpose of class
The aim of this course is to learn the basis of German by practicing four skills.
Goals and objectives
  1. To learn rules of the pronunciation and the basic grammar.
  2. To be able to do self-introduction and short dialogues as the first communicative step.
  3. To gain informations about German-speaking countries and understand different cultures.

Evaluation method and criteria
Usual performance score (class attendance and participation, review quizzes) 30%, final examination 70%. To pass, students must earn at least 60 points out of 100.
