Course description
Along with changes in environmental problems, the way in which environmental policies have changed has also changed, and the importance of policies in the region is increasing. In this lecture, we will learn about the environmental policies in the region from the perspective of domestic and overseas movements and policy methods and principles. In addition, we will deepen our understanding of the roles of administrators, citizens, business operators, NGOs, and NPOs concerning regional environmental policy by taking actual case examples of local areas carefully following the policy background, planning and implementation process. Through a series of lectures, we aim to understand the concept of environmental policies and to acquire knowledge to think about concrete methods and deployment methods for policy formation and policy implementation. The lesson deals with one theme in roughly two times. I will outline the case at the first time and the concrete area case at the second time. At the end of the lesson, we will conduct a quiz about the class content of the day. As preparation, we collect information such as regional outline / regional characteristics and environmental policy of the local government concerning the area to be picked up in the next lesson [case] and ask for submission as a preparatory report.
