Course description
In this lecture, we aimed to understand the relationship between the environment surrounding our life (atmosphere, water, soil, energy) and human activities and understand what kind of measures are needed to build a sustainable society.
Purpose of class
Our daily life is supported by various components of environment such as atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere, biosphere, and so on. However, it is known sometimes human activities impair the balance of the components. In this course, we learn basics of environmental issues from regional to global, and then we will think about human activities in consideration of the environment.
Goals and objectives
  1. Students understand importance of environment from “Local” to “Global”.
  2. Students understand basic relationship between human activities and environment.
  3. Students consider how individual humans and society should be concerned with environment.
