Course description
Learn through the experience of volunteering for international students at our university about what kind of preparations are necessary for future studies, what kinds of problems can occur, how to solve them, and so on. At the same time, it is important that students themselves can realize growth by recognizing their own existence significance in the international courses. In addition, if a student other else an international course affiliation wishes to take a course, advance consultation with the teacher in charge before the course semester is required.
Purpose of class
The purpose of this lesson is to make an opportunity to share their knowledge by conducting their own study abroad simulation through support of international students to our university. Specifically, in the course of doing many volunteer activities, such as introduction of basic information of our university, searching for housing, providing information including usage of infrastructure such as banks and supermarkets, taking courses and taking daily life consultation correspondence.
Goals and objectives
  1. To explain what is important for intercultural exchange
  2. To be able to explain concretely how to prepare for studying abroad, what kind of problem is likely to occur, what kind of approach to solve
  3. To explain how to utilize a human network to solve international student problems

Evaluation method and criteria
For credit certification, students are required to explain what and how you developed yourself through the buddy activity. To this end, followings are evaluated;
1. Weekly activity report on how did you support and help foreign students
2. Final essay "What and how did you develop yourself through the buddy activity?"
3. Self and mutual evaluation based on the rubric
