Structural Materials

hamasaki hitoshi
Course description
Building materials have a deep relationship to building design, structural design, product design, equipment design, and so on.
When we select an appropriate building material, it is necessary to comprehend the characteristic of various materials (advantage or disadvantage). Moreover, it is necessary to bear it in mind with the performance that suits the kind, the usage, and the part of the building. In addition, corresponding to the obtaining time, the method, and the amount of money of construction is the important factors.
This lecture takes up concrete, steel, and wooden materials as a structural material of building construction, introduces those feature, physical properties, manufacturing method, and standard and specification.
Purpose of class
The purpose of this lecture is to comprehend the feature, physical properties, manufacturing method, and standard and specification of building construction materials.
