1 Urban and Regional Development in Information Age
               
             
          
         
         
            
            Today, the modern society, is called information society. In the information society, our daily activities related to "information"
               are significantly increasing, while the roles, importance and economic value are increasing. As a result, social issues of
               information and communication are becoming a larger part of regional strategies and town planning.
Based on this recognition, the main objective of this class is to understand the relationships between regional development
               and regional policy and "information" from various perspectives through some examples.
Classes are basically done in seminar format, but we also plan fieldwork.

            Evaluation method and criteria
 
            The allocation of the overall grade for this course is presented below:
・Presentation : 20%
・Contribution to discussion (minutes papers be evaluated) : 40%
・Reports : 40%
To pass the course, students must earn at least 60 points of 100.
Students can score 60 points or more when they can state in a clear manner their opinions, in assignments, discussion and
               reports, about topics discussed in class.
