Course content
This course will describe the synthesis, physical properties, and functions of polymer compounds which are attracting attention in the field of polymer materials chemistry. In addition to reviewing important information covered in undergraduate lectures on polymer synthesis and polymer physicality, more specialized discussion will be pursued. As well, an overview will be given with a focus on topics including polymer synthesis due to transition metal catalysts, highly functional polymer materials, high-performance polymer materials, and biological polymers.
Purpose of class
Study about overview and basics of polymer chemistry.
Goals and objectives
  1. Studying about polymer synthesis (Lectures 1-4)
  2. Studying about structure analysis of polymer (Lectures 5 & 6)
  3. Studying about properties of polymer materials (Lectures 7 & 8)
  4. Studying about industrial polymer chemistry (Lectures 9-14)
