2 Academic Writing
This class aims to develop students' basic skills of English academic writing and enable them express their feelings and thoughts
in English accurately and appropriately in various situations. Students are asked to read a variety of short passages to understand
English paragraph organization first. Then they practice writing paragraphs in simple but accurate English, attempting to
make readers understand their opinions and thoughts as much as possible. At the same time, students can learn English vocabulary
and grammar essential to the undergraduate level and understand the process of academic English writing.

The purpose of this class is to improve students' basic academic writing skills in English so that they become able to express
their opinions clearly in accurate English.
- Students can understand the basic English paragraph organization and write a short English paragraph by themselves.
- Students can understand English vocabulary and grammar of TOEIC level, and write English passages based on them.
- Students can write English paragraphs that are understandable for readers and clearly express their opinions and thoughts.

Textbooks and reference materials
This class does not use a textbook. All the course materials are to be provided by the teacher in class. Students are required
to keep them on file for their study.
This class has a close relation with the TOEIC IP score. The criteria of the necessary score will be announced as soon as
determined.
