Course description
In this course, the students will learn practical system design and programming by applying the knowledge of information processing , programming, data structure and algorithm, and computer computer architecture. The students will learn system programming, shell programming, multi-thread programming and communication programming.
Purpose of class
The purpose of this class is to understand the information technologies at a deep level, and get the ability to use such technologies in a practical system.
Goals and objectives
  1. Understand the concept, or system model of Unix (Linux) operating system.
  2. Understand the system programming on Linux, and make a driver program.
  3. Understand the communication programming, and make a simple web server.
