Foundations of Chemical Biology

hamasaki keita
Course description
Foundations of chemical biology (fCB) will lead you how to understand and explain the biological system quantitatively with your knowledge of chemistry. You may realize, through this course, the living organism is an assembly of chemicals and it is drove by the chemical reaction. Also you might familiar with the web that give you an appropriate information of which help you to understand biological molecules and their reaction. After you completed this course, your knowledge of chemistry will become the tool set to elucidate the biological issue and also you may see the chemistry behind biology.
Purpose of class
Understanding of foundations of chemistry as a toolshed that make you enable to understand biology.
Goals and objectives
  1. Understanding structure of biomolecules from nano, micro to macro.
  2. Understanding chemical reactions that govern the organism with kinetic study.
  3. Find out the information of which you need to understand biological reaction by using web.
