Course description
This course deals with the mechanical drawing, mechanical design, and strength of materials.
Purpose of class
To master the rule of mechanical drawing in Japan(JIS) and design actual mechanical systems.
Goals and objectives
  1. To understand third angle projection and drawing rule of mechanical elements.
  2. To learn machining and fabrication and calculate strength.
  3. To read complicated drawings.
  4. To learn how to design a mechanical system with 3D cad and spreadsheet software.
