The electromagnetism is the most important basic subject necessary to study electrical engineering as well as electric circuit.
In this class, it is a purpose the master of the theory of the electric current, the electric current and the magnetic field,
and magnetic material chiefly.
- To be able to understand and calculate electric current, electrical resistance, electric current density and charge conservation.
- To be able to understand and calculate the law of biot sava-ru in static magnetic field, Gauss's law in flux density and Ampere's integration rule.
- To be able to understand and calculate the force that acts between the magnetic field and the electric current, and the Lorentz force.
- To be able to understand and calculate the vector potential.
- To be able to understand and calculate the characteristics of magnetic material, magnetic field and magnetic force.
- To be able to understand and calculate Coulomb’s law in magnetism.
- To be able to understand and calculate magnetic circuits.

There will be three exams: 1st midterm (20%), 2nd midterm (40%) and final (40%). The final grade will be determined by total
amount of points obtained according to the follows scale: S: 90-100, A: 80-89, B: 70-79, C: 60-69, D:50-59, F: 0-49. To pass,
students must earn at least 60 points out of 100.
The points are given for the following:
・Being able to solve surely the examples in the textbook: 60%
・And being able to solve surely the exercises at the end of each chapter in the textbook: 80%
・And being able to solve more advanced exercises: Addition is given within 20%
