Course description
Mechatronics is a mixture word generated from both Mechanics and Electronics.
This word is made in Japan. Although the area Mechatronics shows is very wide, the overview is presented and each part of the area is expanded in detail.
For example, the modeling of the control system, the transient phenomenon of the system, sensors, actuators and controller design will be explained in this class.

In FY2019,this lecture is given in English.
Purpose of class
To acquire the knowledge on the mechatronic system, especially
1. principal function and design of mecatronic elements
2. control system design
3. System modelling using UML.
Goals and objectives
  1. The first order system, second order system can be explained.
  2. Each sensor: position, velocity, acceleration, force, current, voltage, flux and so on, bandwidth and mechanism can be explained.
  3. The voltage differential equation of DC motor can be written and can be solved.
Theory and characteristics of some actuators can be explained.
  4. System modeling using UML (Unified Modeling Language) can be understood and explained.
