3 Advanced Exercise on Computer and Information Science2C
The purpose of this class is to apply the knowledge and techniques previously learned to solve the practical problems. For
this purpose, various knowledge and techniques should be necessary. In addition, discussion and cooperation with other students
are necessary. This process of problem-based learning is important.
This class is divided into three divisions:
Theme 1 is the design and implementation of an interactive application.
Theme 2 is the development of embedded systems prototyping.
Theme 3 is database design and database application development
Each theme needs six days, which implies students choose one for the first half and another for the latter half of the semester.
to apply the knowledge and techniques previously learned to solve the practical problems
- Manabe: Using a game engine, students design and implement an interactive application. Students understand the repeat of prototyping
improves values of an application and embeds suitable interactions to it.
- Sugaya: The students can obtain a development experiment and skills with an embedded system using Arduino that control various
input and output with sensors. The experiment of design and development of hardware and software will give a wider point of
view for a future device or ubiquitous system.
- Kimura: The students can acquire the fundamental skill to design a (relational) database suitable to deal with large size
data through the design and the development of a database and its application program.
