Course description
Introductory lecture for the freshmen in the department.
Many kinds of guidance, orientation trip, special lectures, PROG report etc are included in the lecture.
Purpose of class
Nurturing the motivation of freshmen in the department by offering them various kind of contents.
Goals and objectives
  1. Introduction to the department of engineering science and mechanics, expected skills for their future profession
  2. Introduction to research activities of the laboratories in the department
  3. Raising motivation for future carrier by introducing the interests of mechanical engineering

Evaluation method and criteria
The points of assigned report papers (each has max 100 points) will be evaluated.
If the average point of the report papers is >= 60 points , the student is approved to give credit.
