Research Content
Biological process is a collection of events caused by functional substance which includes macromolecular compounds such as DNA and protein. We are focusing novel functional materials by preparing new structural biomembrane or modifying the biofunctional substance on the material surface.
Research topics include development of biomembrane-immobilized chips to investigate the function of membrane proteins, preparation of biomembrane-metal composite for analytical devices, microfabirication based on functional resist materials recognizing biomolecules, and elucidation of the mechanism of the catalyst which cleaves DNA and RNA in the position on arbitrary sequences.
