yajima ichiro
Course description
Whereas many lives must maintain themselves (homeostasis), sometimes it is necessary to change themselves (metamorphosis). Alternatively, it is also necessary to protect oneself from non-self (immune system). Here you will learn about hormones and the autoregulatory mechanisms by the immune system.
Purpose of class
The self-regulatory mechanism by hormons is widely utilized in a variety of organisms. The purpose of this class is to learn about the importance of hormones and their evolution, and the endocrine system including immune mechanisms.
Goals and objectives
  1. To be able to understand the function and role of hormones
  2. To be able to understand the homeostasis
  3. To be able to understand the biological regulation mechanism and its evolution
  4. To be able to understand the defense mechanism by the immune system
