Course description
The course is a design studio course of urban architecture.
Research the several aspects of built environment of a city in the scale of city planning (e.g. 1 : 2,500), propose reformation of the environment and develop the urban and architectural design in the scale of regional planning (e.g. 1:500), and/or the scale of architectural design (e.g. 1:200).
Purpose of class
Through the course students are expected to solve the practical subject of the contemporary urban design and architecture and acquire the professional knowledge and technique necessary for professional architects and urban designers.
Goals and objectives
  1. Acquire and develop the sense for scale which is quite important for professional architects, urban designers and landscape designers.
  2. Acquire the ability of problem-finding approach.
  3. Acquire and develop the ability of proposing spatial environment in various scale.
  4. Acquire and develop the technique of the presentation drawing and model making, etc.
